As a group we decided that our previous storyboard didn't have enough detail in it such as what camera shots and angles we were going to use, so we went back to the beginning and decided to add in more images that showed the exact way we would be filming so that when going out to film we are able to follow our storyboard step by step. We created a new storyboard and animatic so that when we go out to film everything is clear and in place.
I feel that having an animatic is very important not really for an audience but for us as producers. Ot not only brings our ideas together but it also gives us a plan which we can work off of. It is very clear and precise and shows us exactly what bits we need to film and what shots and angles to use. I feel that the animatic will allow for us to be able to go out and film and not hesitate that we do not know what we are doing as we have a plan that shows us exactly what we need to be doing. The animatic will also come in handy when it comes to the post production stages as we can also look back to see where we want our cuts to be and in what order we want to place our footage. Doing this stage in the pre production stages is just putting us at an advantage as we now have extra planning that will help us throughout all the stages of production.
